These small dark brown peppercorns are a traditional Japanese spice commonly used to flavour grilled eel, grilled chicken, and seafood. The peppercorns are handpicked and dried. Then, Sanso Peppercorns are easily stored in airtight containers and can be ground up to sprinkle on a variety of Asian dishes. They have a vibrant citrus taste that is often equated to lemon. Furthermore, Sansho Peppercorns leave a unique temporary tingling sensation that numbs the senses.
