Turmeric Papaya Smoothie
This bright yellow-orange spice is best known for its medicinal properties and anti-inflammatory effects. Widely consumed for its immune-boosting properties, it comes from the turmeric root and has been used for thousands of years. While the most popular way of consuming it is by adding it to tea, a more creative way to have it is by blending it into your vegan smoothie! Not only does this add a vibrant colour, but the subtle taste of turmeric also adds a unique flavour—along with the added benefits of lowering cholesterol and preventing cancer.
Ingredients - mix in a blender:
- ½ tsp ground turmeric
- 1.5 cup Happy Happy Soy boy soymilk / Almo almond milk
- 2 tbsp 蜂蜜
- 1 cup of ice
- ½ medium sized peeled papaya, frozen
- 1 large banana, frozen
- 1 tsp lime juice
Toppings - to serve:
- Granola
- Organic Coconut Chips
- Fresh Pomegranate
