Our active manuka mask contains 500+ MGO Manuka Honey is deeply restorative to the skin. As it is anti-microbial it can help remove dead skin cells and is also shown to help reduce inflammation of the skin as a result of its non-peroxide activity. When glucose oxidase (an enzyme incorporated into honey by bees) reacts with glucose and oxygen molecules (moisture in the skin) it produces hydrogen peroxide which clears the skin making it feel smooth and hydrated. To further this, we add pure manuka oil which cleans the skin and kills bacteria so that not only does this mask hydrate, but it is also deeply cleansing.

Directions

If crystals in the mask are left for too long, they may settle, so it's important to stir them with a clean stick. Take about a 10-cent-size of the maskin your palm and gently rub them together to warm them up, which helps them dissolve more easily. Gently massage them onto your face. For the first use, you can leave it on your face for 5 to 10 minutes after massaging. If there are no specific sensitivities, you can increase the time to 20 minutes for the next use, and then rinse it off with water.

Note: When honey has low water content or is kept at low temperatures, glucose will solidify from a liquid form, creating crystals. This is a common occurrence.
