[Hinoki] With incense holder

Hinoki (Japanese cypress) has long been regarded as a precious tree and is also used in historical buildings such as Horyuji Temple and Shosoin. Nihon Shoki (Chronicles of Japan) says "Use cedar and camphor tree for boats, hinoki for palace and Japanese umbrella pine for coffin".

Hinoki contains a lot of hinokitiol, which has a high antibacterial effect, and an excellent deodorant effect also. It has also been reported that the scent of hinoki has a relaxing effect, and research has shown that inhalation of the scent component α-pinene contained in hinoki makes parasympathetic nerves dominate and leads to relaxation.
